 Hello! Lasucomites! The past weeks have been filled with the thrilling atmosphere from the LASUMSA elections and of course the pains of hostel allocation, with everyone moving and trying to settle in.  Anyway, following the success of the election we’ve resumed our normal business; which is getting you to know your neighbour as we bring to you the elegant yet dashing……

Name: Akinslosotu Afolabi Abiodun

Any Nicknames: Erm ……Folz

What earned you that name: it was given to me by my friend Priscilla when we were in 100 levels (any other ones?) Hmmm! Not really, i was called “Flabby” and also “Afo” in my secondary school days.

Date of birth: 7^th of April 199*

State of Origin: I am from Ondo state (where in Ondo state?) Ondo town (really? We heard stubbornness is peculiar to people from that side of the earth) *smiles* Not really ooo, because am not stubborn i just don’t like being discouraged.

Religion: Christianity

What your Shoe size: I wear 41/42 in case you guys want to get me one.

Hobbies: Hmmm! I like chatting, and erm being alone sha (so you are kind of a loner) not really, i also enjoy watching people play basketball.

Family structure: My parents and just four children (what’s your position?} I am the fourth child, everybody’s baby. (You must be suffering from over pampering) (Laughs out loud). Yea, sometimes but i have to the whole chores in the house, so being the lastborn is like a double edged sword with a good and a bad side.

 Educational background:  I attended legacy villa international school situated at Alagbado from my nursery days down to junior secondary, i attended ijaye-ojokoro senior secondary school where i got my senior school certificate, and I finally proceeded to LASU.

Why LASU naa: I picked LASU because my research stated that LASU has one of the best medical schools in Nigeria (wow!)

Why dentistry:  As a child i discovered i was gifted with using my hands and caring for people, and i feel this is where am most needed.

If not dentistry: Takes a long pause……. i would have gone for law (why?) because I am an advocate of justice.

Would you drop dentistry for 500million naira:Nope (why?) its my passion naa……Giggles……..

Tell us about life at Ojo: *sighs* in one word ojo life was “suffering” our calendar was jam-packed due to numerous strike sessions and we had to do a lot in a very short period but the hostel life was fun actually (do you miss it) ah! Sometimes I do.

Best colour: Purple (why?) simply because it signifies royalty.

Best food: None

Likes: I like plain, transparent and cheerful people.

Dislikes: Boring people, cheats and liars.

Tell us about your childhood: It was fun because i could get almost everything i wanted; i was quite troublesome though but got out of trouble easily.

What did you miss during your childhood that you wouldn’t want your kids to miss: Nothing really

Are you in a relationship: Yes (really, who is this lucky fellow) *all smiles*sorry it’s private… seriously whats private about it?….. Its private.

Do you have a crush on any LASUCOMITE? Yep, jatto (seriously) he is a cool guy.

Celebrity crush: Brad pitt and Will smith….hmmm u kinda like your men bulky shey?......lol

You’ve been seen around with the Bakare brothers, both the elder and younger brother. Whats up with you guys: sighs…….. we are just cool.

Who is your Best friend: Akinlade priscilla

Source of inspiration: Dr fagbemi who happens to be my family doctor.

Happiest moment: (pauses) i think it was the day i transited to LASUCOM.

Worst moment: The day i lost an aunt so dear to me.

Can’t be caught dead doing what:  Cheating in any form

Any Obsession: Smiles* sure ………its  chocolate!

Do you like sports: Yeah (what’s your favourite sport?) Basketball (how about your favourite team?) Smiles* i actually have none.

How are you finding LASUCOM:  Ah!...... It hasn’t been easy, am just blending into the whole system.

Best lecturer: Dr. Gbeleyi

Worst lecturer: I haven’t found yet

Best department: Anatomy (why) i think anatomy as a course is easier to relate to your own body than other courses.

Best hangout spot: Ermm, it has to be the pavilion with my friends, and sometimes alone.

How has living in Barracks been: it has been quite okay compared to people’s opinion about the hostel. 

We heard you had a clash with aunty shade in 400l old due to some allocation issues: Aww, it was a slight misunderstanding and i have apologised to her. We’re cool now.

What’s your take on the just concluded LASUMSA election: Well, i feel the election was free and fair, there was no rigging in any form. The results reflected the minds of LASUCOMITEs.

Whose camp were you on, were you Basophilic or Basophobic: Hehehehehe……*laughs* well i was on Oduwole’s camp but unfortunately he lost. I hope they work together and move LASUMSA forward.

A little word for our executive elects: i would like to congratulate them first of all, i also wish they can make things better in LASUCOM, and also include the freshmen at Ojo in their agenda.

Any future LASUMSA political ambition: No  

You in 10 years: (Pause) hopefully married with kids, also pursuing my dream as an Oral maxillofacial surgeon.

If you were made president of Nigeria for a day what issues would you tackle: Hmmm, i would work on the education sector and also try to generate another source of income apart from petroleum.

Guys you admire in LASUCOM: Tobi titiloye, Dr. Fabian, Douglas, Haruna, Ibrogen and Jatto

Ladies you admire in LASUCOM: Adaora, Kofo, Iroayo, Remilekun and Laide (500l).

Your view on guys in LASUCOM: i think they are not all the same and people need to change their perspective on LASUCOM guys because some are really cool.

Your view on ladies in LASUCOM: The same thing goes for them.

Your view on LASUMSA:  A good association but there is still room for improvement.

Your view on Amity: i think Amity is a great association and KYN provides a platform for LASUCOMITEs to know each other.
